Privacy policy

TrueBatch (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website or purchases our products. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Personal information you provide directly: name, phone number, email address, delivery address, and billing details when you place an order or create an account.
  • Order information: items purchased, custom blend preferences, order history, and payment status. We do not store full card or UPI details — these are processed directly by our payment gateway partner.
  • Communications: messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, phone, or contact forms.
  • Optional location interest: if you submit the homepage prompt, we store only your 6-digit pincode, the delivery result, and the version of the notice you accepted. We do not attach this submission to your name, phone, IP address, device, or account.
  • If — and only if — you choose ‘Use my current location’ in that prompt, your browser asks your permission and gives us your approximate coordinates. We use them once, in that moment, to look up which pincode you are in, and we do not store them. Only the pincode you then choose to submit is kept. You can refuse, and typing your pincode instead does exactly the same thing.
  • Usage data: pages visited, time spent on site, device and browser type, and IP address, collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools.

How we use your information

  • To process, mill, pack, and deliver your order.
  • To communicate with you about your order status, delivery updates, and customer support requests.
  • To send promotional offers, product updates, or newsletters — only if you have opted in, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
  • To improve our website, products, and customer experience.
  • To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Pincode-based delivery planning

Submitting a pincode in the homepage prompt is optional and is separate from checking delivery on a product or at checkout. It makes no difference whether you typed the pincode or let your browser find it — what we keep is the same six digits either way. We use consented submissions only in aggregate to understand where customers would like us to deliver. They are automatically deleted after 12 months. Choosing ‘Not now’ does not affect the website, prices, or your ability to order.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We only share your information with:

  • Shipping and courier partners, solely to deliver your order.
  • Payment gateway providers, solely to process payments securely.
  • Government or legal authorities, where required by law.
  • Service providers who support our operations (for example website hosting and analytics), under confidentiality obligations.
  • OpenStreetMap’s public address lookup, and only if you use ‘Use my current location’: we send it approximate coordinates, rounded to about 100 metres, to ask which pincode they fall in. Nothing identifying you is sent with them.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including secure servers and encrypted payment processing — to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to remember your preferences, keep your cart active, and understand how visitors use our site. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not work as intended if you do.

Your rights

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
  • You may opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us directly.
  • You may request details of what personal data we hold about you.

Children’s privacy

Our website and products are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
