Loved for centuries, our Khapli (Emmer) Wheat Flour is an ancient heirloom grain that has remained untouched by modern cross-breeding. It is responsibly sourced from 100% organic farmers in selected regions of Maharashtra. Known for its low glycemic profile, it offers a gentle, fibre-rich alternative to regular wheat. Flavour — naturally dense texture with a mild nutty flavour and earthy taste.
In the kitchen
- Texture — slightly firmer than other wheat varieties.
- Use slightly more water while kneading, and rest the dough 20–30 minutes for better softness and rollability. A little milk makes them softer still.
- Ideal for daily rotis, parathas and traditional Indian meals.
- Prepared in a facility that processes grains containing gluten. Not suitable for people with gluten allergies.
